PEPPERMINT TEA RECIPE TO SOOTHE YOUR SORE THROAT
Not just a remedy for bad breath, peppermint can also double as a sore throat reliever. Peppermint contains menthol, which naturally alleviates sore throat pain and thins the excess mucus in your system. Studies have also shown that peppermint contains antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties that make it a natural defense for your sore throat.

Steeping peppermint in tea form is the best way to treat your sore throat symptoms. Here is one of our favorite recipes for peppermint tea:
"Peppermint Tea with lemon and honey will naturally help soothe your sore throat and clear an excess of music. Decrease the lemon if your throat feels dry." width="470" height="313" />
4 peppermint flavored tea bags (choose your favorite brand)
3 cups of water
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoons lemon juice (If you have excess phlegm, increase the amount of lemon to help clear out your throat)
1 lemon wedge per cup
Bring 3 cups of water to a boil
Pour water over tea bags in a heat-safe container
Steep for 6-8 minutes.
Remove tea bag (keep in the cup if you like your tea strong, however remove after 10 minutes to keep your tea from turning bitter.
Add honey and lemon juice.
Serve in individual tea cups
Add a lemon wedge.
