Detox Water for a Healthy Voice & Body

Try adding some of these fresh fruits and herbs to your water and be sure to have it on you at all times. Here are three of our favorite detox waters that will keep your professional voice and body in top form. Enjoy!

Cucumber | Lemon | Mint 3 quarts of water 2 cups of ice 3 lemons cut into slices 1 cucumber, sliced (keep the peel) 1/2 cup or a generous handful of mint leaves Combine the lemons, cucumber, and mint into a large pitcher and muddle together slightly to release the oils and juices. Add water and ice. Refrigerate and enjoy! The lemon in this detox water will also help to clear up any excess phlegm in your throat that will keep your voice from hitting its full range. Cucumbers are full of health benefits, which is why we like to add them to almost all of our detox waters. Cucumbers have an extremely high water content, which helps keep you hydrated. Cucumbers have been known to naturally flushes out toxins from your body. Cucumbers are full of vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, potassium & silicon (if you want to use them on your skin). Cucumbers can help fight cancer. Apple Cider Vinegar Detox 1 lemon, sliced 1 cucumber, sliced (not peeled) 1/4 cup or small handful of mint 2-3 quarts water (depending on how strong you want it) 5 tablespoons apple cider vinegar Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother vinegar) can help prevent acid reflux by balancing acid levels in the stomach. Muddle together in a large pitcher the lemons, ACV, and mint. Add in the cucumber slices and water. Refrigerate and enjoy!

Pineapple | Ginger 1 cup pineapple (cubed or juice) 2 quarts water 1/2 cup lime juice 1 knob of ginger, grated Combine and enjoy! Fresh pineapples and pineapple juice contain bromelain, a powerful protein-digesting, or proteolytic, enzyme that reduces muscle and tissue inflammation, fluid retention in the nasal membranes (for allergy or sinusitis sufferers) and can even be used to aid in digestion. The citrus in this detox will help flush the fat from your system and keep loosen up any voice-blocking phlegm. Fresh pineapples and pineapple juice contain bromelain, a powerful protein-digesting, or proteolytic, enzyme that reduces muscle and tissue inflammation, fluid retention in the nasal membranes (for allergy or sinusitis sufferers) and can even be used to aid in digestion.
