David A. Opperman, M.D.
Dr. Opperman is a board-certified otolaryngologist and fellowship-trained laryngologist.
He has years of experience in the diagnosis, recommendation and surgical procedures involving airway reconstruction including laryngeal tracheoplasty and tracheostomy.
Dr. Opperman received a Fellowship in Laryngology and Disorders of the Voice at UCLA in Los Angeles where he studied under the direction of Gerald Berke, M.D. and performed research in laryngology, neurolaryngology and care of the professional voice. He trained under George L. Adams at the University of Minnesota where he received his Master of Science in otolaryngology and received his Doctor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University.
He is also a presenter, author, and recognized expert in the field of voice care and repair and enjoys sharing his expertise with groups.
I am a Colorado native with a multifaceted nursing and advanced practice background. I began my nursing career providing pre and postoperative care to specialty surgery patients, including ENT, neurology and orthopedics. I have worked in many roles within Denver Health Hospital, including charge nurse of the Short Stay Unit, float pool and poison center. I have advanced practice experience as a primary care provider and now look forward to serving the Denver community as a specialty ear nose and throat provider. I have a passion for helping other be their best selves and this starts with feeling healthy. I am available for quick appointment scheduling for ear nose, and throat concerns. I am also available to preoperative exams for Dr. Opperman.
Kathe Perez is a certified speech-language pathologist as well as the founder and president of Exceptional Voice, Inc, partner and collaborator of Colorado Voice Clinic in the areas of vocal coaching and training. Kathe has been working in the field for more than 30 years and works with singers, actors, broadcasters, auctioneers, teachers, professional speakers and other professionals who depend on their voices.
Kathe received her Master of Arts degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder. She is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She had the privilege of interning with one of the top voice specialists in the world, Robert Sataloff, MD in Philadelphia.
With a deep understanding of how the voice affects transgender individuals, Kathe is also a voice feminization specialist.
